The Section
The 155 km of highway sections managed by SALT, of which 80 km are flat and 75 km in the mountains, play an important role as a north-south connection for the national road network serving an economically dynamic territory, made up of the regions of Liguria and Tuscany, particularly rich in small and medium-sized enterprises and extraordinary for its historical and artistic heritage.
Connecting important ports such as La Spezia and Livorno and the airport of Pisa, the SALT highways constitute an integrated and advanced interregional transport system.
